Acceptance in The Clod and the Pebble by William Blake Essay

Love comes in every way, shape and form, whether it be living under cattle’s feet or living in a beautiful creek. The theme of â€Å"The Clod and the Pebble† by William Blake is portrayed through very unique imagery, awesome word choice, and extraordinary relationships. This eccentric poem by William Blake talks about the different lives of a very simple clod and a pebble in which live in two opposite worlds. The way he starts this poem can be very misleading until the second stanza, in here it starts to tell us what it’s really about. William Blake then explains to us the two lives of these two very different souls. The theme of â€Å"The Clod and the Pebble† is to accept your life no matter where you live or travel and to not be that person who†¦show more content†¦I believe this is sending some sort of message to the reader of this extraordinary poem. The secret message very well could be the fact that if you live in basically the worst place o n Earth makes it like heaven instead of Satan’s realm because it’s the best you can do at the moment. I place confidence in that this is what William is attempting to explain to us so we shall make the best out of what we have in our life. When he first introduced this character he probably thought that we would think it’s just a Clod of Clay and it has no importance or any reason to impact how we think. The awesome word choice in this erratic poem by William Blake has an array of words ranging from simple adjectives to Shakespearean era adjectives which is more than expected when first reading this poem. You’ll be thrown some superb examples in these next few upcoming sentences. When he switches gears to the Pebble he then proceeds to tell us that the pebbled â€Å"warbled† which says that he’s singing. William claims, â€Å"Warbled out these meters meet:† We hope you think that this means that he’s about to sing about his lif e in the beautiful brook it dwells in. Although with that astonishing word, we can do better than that word. The author suggests that the reader keep an open mind, and also suggest some other reading materials that will also help. The first chapter deals with how to handle people successfully. In this chapter it highlights one of the most important things you†¦show more content†¦Arguing with some one insults their intelligence and will get you no where. People do not think they are right, they know they are right. A crucial element in avoiding a argument is to offer your opinion calmly and also admit that you yourself could be wrong. This m akes the other person feel less threatened and his or her pride is not jeopardized. Approach the issue together, examine all the facts; this allows for the other persons to take the easy way out in admitting that they might be wrong. The third principle in this section states, if you are wrong admit it quickly and empathically. People will respect you if you can admit it when you are wrong. It is also important to ridicule yourself and judge yourself harshly, especially around other people. People will respond warmly and with encouragement. By admitting yourself wrong you can turn a potentially harsh lecture into a speech of praise. Principle four establishes that if you absolutely can not avoid an argument, then try to approach it in a friendly way. Again this makes the others feel less threatened and they are more willing to change their way of thinking. It is like the old saying, you catch more bees with honey than with vinegar. Principle five determines the importance of establishing a positive attitude from the start. Get the person to say yes as fast as you can. Giant showed some great work in painting but didnt become a painter. Vinci taught him some skills alai. HTML) Dad Vinci painted so many real live looking people in his painting; its incredible to think about back in the 1 5th and 16th century. One of Leonardo first paintings was with Andrea del Veronica and they drew the Baptism of Christ. Veronica told Vinci to paint the knelling angel and Vinci did a better Job than his own master. During his lifetime he has painted so many pictures that have been amazing. Some great works that Leonardo has painted were The Last Supper, when Leonardo remained in Milan for 17 years during which time he painted the famous Last Supper and completed a 6 foot model of the Sports statue. In 1499 French troops invaded Milan and Leonardo was unharmed, he fled to Venice. In a later invasion by the French, the model of the Sports statue was broken up, and there is no record of it besides for Leonardo sketches. Another Painting that Leonardo did back in Florence was one of his famous paintings La Giaconda which is more commonly known as the Mona Lisa. Madonna Lisa, the wife of a Florentine merchant. Leonardo worked on the painting for four years. The poet ranks far below the painter in the representation of visible hangs, and far below the musician in that of invisible things. (http://www. One of the inventions that he made, that we still used today is a parachute. One of the most known inventions Dad Vinci came up with was the glider he made with no engine, which could keep itself up from the wind currents.
